Lab-Grown Diamond Benefits

Environmentally Friendly

EcoPure Diamonds do not undermine the natural environment. Our diamonds have significantly less of a carbon footprint than those of mined diamonds.

Conflict-Free

EcoPure Diamonds have a guaranteed origin: fully disclosed and committed to transparency with third-party independent laboratory certification.

Sustainable Supply

Our 200,000-square-foot Diamond Growing Greenhouse grows diamonds in approximately 10 to 12 weeks, guaranteeing continous supply of grown diamonds.

Exceptional Value

EcoPure Diamonds usually cost 50% or less (wherever applicable) than comparable earth-mined diamonds, offering consumers significant savings on their dream diamond or the flexibility to purchase a larger diamond.

Rarest & Purest

White and pink EcoPure Diamonds are "Type IIa," the rarest category of diamonds. Only 2% of earth-mined diamonds are "Type IIa".

Real Diamonds

EcoPure Diamonds are identical to mined diamonds, sharing the same optical, physical, and chemical properties. The only difference is origin. EcoPure Diamonds are cultivated in our Diamond Growing Greenhouse.

Common EcoPure Diamond Questions

What you need to know about our Lab Grown Diamonds.

  • How are EcoPure Diamonds made?
EcoPure Diamonds are created through a process called microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition, in which a sliver of a diamond or diamond seed is put in a high-temperature chamber and a gas mixture rich in carbon is added. Through carefully controlled conditions, we can create an environment where pure carbon attaches to the sliver of diamond and grows a larger diamond that looks identical to a natural diamond. The process takes around a month to complete.
  • Are EcoPure Diamonds graded?
Yes. EcoPure Diamonds are graded just like natural diamonds and are certified by independent gemologists. The certifications offer a comprehensive description of each EcoPure Diamond's 4Cs (color, clarity, cut, carat weight), the diamond's origin, and its certification number.
  • What is the EcoPure Diamond appraisal process?
When an EcoPure Diamond is bigger than .25 carats, it comes with a grading certificate and a free appraisal that documents the insurance replacement cost of the diamond. We use the information from the grading certificate to create an appraisal that shows the cost of your EcoPure Diamond and the jewelry it is set in. We can provide a replacement or updated appraisal if needed.
  • What quality are your EcoPure Diamonds?
Like our Earth Mined Diamonds, EcoPure Diamonds are available in different color and clarity grades. They are made from the rarest type of diamond in nature: Type IIa. EcoPure Diamonds also look whiter than natural diamonds that have the same color grade, because the nitrogen found in nature that causes yellowing isn't part of the lab-growing process.
  • Are EcoPure Diamonds certified by GIA?
No. Because GIA grades color in lab-grown diamonds using a less descriptive color range, Flora EcoPure Diamonds are graded by laboratories that give a clear-cut color grade to lab-grown diamonds.
